Studied Fine Art Painting under Bernard Lokai at the Freie Akademie der bildenden Künste (fadbk), Essen, Germany. Graduated with special distinction as a Meisterschülerin (Master Student).

Ongoing artistic development through specialised workshops, seminars and study programmes, including studies with Matthias Kroth and at art academies in Trier, Bad Reichenhall and Augsburg, Germany.
1987–1995
Studied Art and French at the University of Bremen, Germany, as part of a teacher training degree, including periods of study in France. Graduated with the First State Examination (Erstes Staatsexamen).
